Another good weekend with Dave. We hiked Pole Steeple Saturday afternoon and climbed the little cliff…only to later find out that Dave is a little afraid of heights, but he made it up to the top. Even laid on the edge.
We went to the last regular season game for the Women’s PSU Volleyball team on Saturday, too. They kept their winning streak against Michigan. I loved it! Dave was impressed with Blair Brown, and yea, she was an phenomenal hitter, but I love watching the setter, Alisha Glass, because she’s got great hands. I was impressed with Megan Hodge and Arielle Wilson, too. Plus, the 5’1” Cathy Quillico holds her own against those giant 6 foot girls. Heck, I just love PSU volleyball.

The smiles I get from this guy

The laughs I get from my sass-ter

The early morning Turkey Trot tradition

Finding new hobbies

Spending time with this guy

Being able to make this from scratch
There’s a whole lot more that I’m thankful for, but these were the only ones I had pictures of at the moment.

Spent some time in a very small town this weekend with The Boy. I got to meet his family and do small town things. After their early Thanksgiving meal, we went out for target practice - which meant I got to shoot some guns for the first time: a 45mm hand gun and 4 types of rifles - a 22, a 22 mag, a 243 and a 270. The 45 and 270 were the loudest and most fun to shoot.
Back on the train to Harrisburg PA. This time I was smart and brought a cup of tea and an apple. I’m not looking forward to the next 3 1/2 hours sitting upright because I experience discomfort in my ribcage from about 3pm onwards every day that can only be dealt with by lying down. I’m guessing it’s pregnancy related but haven’t had a chance to look it up.
The good news is that I’m going to finish off my current book and get stuck into The Help. I also brought a wireless card so I can internet if I get bored of reading. (Unlikely).
So The Boy is at Monday Night Football this evening. I know he’s enjoying himself - even though he’s a die-hard Steelers fan - and has had plenty to drink. How do I know this? A phone call before the game telling me he tried my “Megan’s Test” and his nose was gone, followed by multiple claims that he misses me and can’t wait to see me tomorrow night at my volleyball game. After getting off the phone, I’ve continued to receive somewhat coherent texts from him stating the same thing - he misses me, can’t want to see me, hopes I spike it in some girl’s face tomorrow night…and more. I kept telling him to go enjoy the game, be with the guys and I could talk to him later….ya know, trying to be the good girlfriend….but I love these random messages.
Hooray for the Drunk Nose!
I heard this song this morning on the radio. Hilarious!
WARNING: This is about to get mushy and corny but I can’t seem to help it.
The boy is amazing to me. He makes me smile to the point that I don’t think he can be real. All the things he does are so genuine. I’ve been happy before, but it doesn’t compare to the happiness I get from him.
He’s amazed that I waited around so long (about 2-3 months) but I just had that feeling that he was it. I knew we’d get to this point. One of the greatest things about him is that he’s not doing these things just to get something from me. (Yea right! All guys want something !!) I’m serious, he’s one of the last gentlemen out there and now he’s alllllll mine.
