About

Tumble-pola
I'm Caitlyn, but I'll answer to Cait or Caity. I get really annoyed when people spell my name wrong.

You can usually find me with a camera. I like my music loud and driving fast cars with the windows down. I hate wearing shoes but that doesn't stop me from buying them. I'm the youngest of four and will forever be a Daddy's Girl, but not the whiny/bitchy kind.

I'm a sucker for cute boys that have a killer wink. I'll jump on the back of a motorcycle in a heartbeat. I love to dive right in without thinking too much. My family will always catch me, so I never fall far.

Inspiration

"In bathrooms, boardrooms, buses, bagel shops, and everywhere else, we all need to imagine a little girl following us around, repeating everything we say and everything we do. Think about all the things you want for your daughters, granddaughters, and girls everywhere - and teach them by living it yourself." - Nell Merlino

Another business trip...

Weird…I work in downtown Harrisburg, PA. Small world.

georgiegirlnyc:

Back on the train to Harrisburg PA. This time I was smart and brought a cup of tea and an apple. I’m not looking forward to the next 3 1/2 hours sitting upright because I experience discomfort in my ribcage from about 3pm onwards every day that can only be dealt with by lying down. I’m guessing it’s pregnancy related but haven’t had a chance to look it up.

The good news is that I’m going to finish off my current book and get stuck into The Help. I also brought a wireless card so I can internet if I get bored of reading. (Unlikely).

Drunk Nose

So The Boy is at Monday Night Football this evening.  I know he’s enjoying himself - even though he’s a die-hard Steelers fan - and has had plenty to drink.  How do I know this?  A phone call before the game telling me he tried my “Megan’s Test” and his nose was gone, followed by multiple claims that he misses me and can’t wait to see me tomorrow night at my volleyball game.  After getting off the phone, I’ve continued to receive somewhat coherent texts from him stating the same thing - he misses me, can’t want to see me, hopes I spike it in some girl’s face tomorrow night…and more.  I kept telling him to go enjoy the game, be with the guys and I could talk to him later….ya know, trying to be the good girlfriend….but I love these random messages.

Hooray for the Drunk Nose!

I heard this song this morning on the radio.  Hilarious!

Gushing

WARNING: This is about to get mushy and corny but I can’t seem to help it.

The boy is amazing to me. He makes me smile to the point that I don’t think he can be real. All the things he does are so genuine. I’ve been happy before, but it doesn’t compare to the happiness I get from him.

He’s amazed that I waited around so long (about 2-3 months) but I just had that feeling that he was it. I knew we’d get to this point. One of the greatest things about him is that he’s not doing these things just to get something from me. (Yea right! All guys want something !!) I’m serious, he’s one of the last gentlemen out there and now he’s alllllll mine.

Best part about cold weather:

The flannel sheets, supersoft throw and down comforter are all making an appearance.

Short & Sweet

I’ve kind of fallen off the face of the earth, but that’s life.  What’s happening?

  • I house/dog-sat for my sister this past week and realized I REALLY need to find an apartment.  That will have to be the next big purchase because I finally got a new car kind of spur of the moment.  Her name is Lenore and she’s gorgeous.
  • We had an intern from Poland start a couple weeks ago.  She’s awesome and is on crutches because she broke her foot 3 weeks before coming here.  Bummer.  I love talking to her about the different customs and what she’s learning.  We both find it hilarious that I’m her supervisor, but she’s older than me by a few months.
  • Dave lost the bet when Angels swept Boston so he’s had to wear a Phillies shirt every time they play….ALL DAY.  And he came over Sunday to watch the game with me and then again on Monday for dinner and the game.  Annnnnd he asked if he could take me out to dinner tomorrow night for my birthday.  (In turn, I think I may have lost another bet I had going on)
  • Friday I sat in on a 3.5 hour meeting with BlueStateDigital, which will now work on fundraising with the organization I work for.  They are responsible for the fundraising campaign for Obama.  Pretty neat.
  • Work is chaotic and frustrating but it’s work and I just have to do my job and deal with it.  The good stuff will come later.

Any questions?

On facebook, this photo has been tagged as “Cait and The Tank”.  The Tank would be my lovely round back side.  This is how the story goes:  I ran track all through high school and my junior or senior year, the guys kept calling me Tank.  I couldn’t figure out why until we went on a group run and the guys always kept to the back of the pack.  It was embarassing back then, but now I’m flattered.  I love my Tank and always will.
